Dr. Ami Tint

Registered Clinical Psychologist, Psychology Associate

I completed my B.A. (hons) at McGill University and then earned my M.A and
Ph.D. in Clinical Developmental Psychology at York University. During my
graduate studies, I trained at a range of private and public mental health settings
focused on learning best practices for assessment and therapy with
neurodivergent youth and their families. I completed my pre-doctoral clinical
residency at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital and a post-doctoral
fellowship at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. I am currently an Azrieli
Accelerator Assistant Professor in Neurodiversity and Intersectionality at the
University of Calgary, where I lead a psychology research lab specializing in the
mental health of people with neurodevelopmental conditions and their families.

I have over 15 years of experience working with youth with diverse
neurodevelopmental profiles, including autism, ADHD, giftedness, intellectual
disability, and learning disability. As a client-centered and neuro-affirming
clinician, I am committed to evidence-based practice that integrates current
research with clinical expertise, while ensuring all services are individualized to
meet clients’ needs. I ultimately aim to help clients understand themselves and to
feel equipped and empowered to support their own health and wellbeing.
